The circle should have a dark dot in it after it's been clicked. Click on the circle next to the words "Flying Scotsman" under the Flying Scotsman avatar. On the second page, there is a Flying Scotsman avatar. A selection of British avatars will appear. Click on the option "UK and Ireland (45 avatars)". Click that, and some options will appear. There, you'll find a pull-down menu near the center of the screen. The tallest box, titled "My Settings" has an option in there that says "Edit Avatar". On the left side of the screen is a column of boxes surrounded with a blue border. At the top of your screen, right next to where it says "Log Out", it says "Settings". You might want your mom to help with this part, because it can get a bit confusing. It's good forum etiquette to not post in such threads unless you're the thread author.Īs for your Flying Scotsman avatar, I can help you with that. Here in the forums, a thread that's been inactive for a long period of time is referred to as a "dead thread". As you can see, the last post before yours was made well over a year ago. Just wanted to point out that on the left-hand side of the blue bar above all posts is the date and time it was posted.

So I've gone to the download place and it has missing dependencies and when I look at the list of errors this is what is shows.īut quite what all this means is a totally mystery to me. And I have managed to get Thomas to appear in the list of trains, but when you click on it, nothing happens. So, if anyone has a tutorial they could guide me towards (Ive tried you tube, but the one I found was dreadful and the camera went everywhere until I felt sick!) I'd be really grateful. and haven't mastered the art of visually memorising from you tube what needs to be done! Specifically kids who have a special interest in trains, but who perhaps can not yet read and write. What I really need is some place within the forum that is identified for (poor sods) like myself that are here because it's the only way to get out of a mess with our kids. I think that one of the things that is a problem for me around here is that (most) people who are interested in Train sims, have got an inbuilt understanding of computers that accompanies their journey. I have very little knowledge of what I'm doing computer wise. Trainz is the one thing that can (and does) really mess my life up, big time. In the past, anything that can go wrong, has gone wrong. I have always thought that to be a nice seperation but obviously will help anywhere i can.But I'm really needing some sort of tutorial. I've tried to keep SI3D out of this forum simply because I know how some of the more serious railway enthusiasts here, myself included enjoy the absence of the younger genres and the fanbsae that comes with it. You can recreate your favorite scenes, explore new locations, and enjoy the adventures of Thomas and his friends. The only thing that wont change just yet is the hosting provider, but I am looking into possible alternatives in the future. Are you a fan of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends Do you want to experience the Island of Sodor in 3D Then visit Si3D2010, a website that offers a variety of 3D models, routes, and downloads for Trainz Simulator. Out testing is more rigorous now which should hopefully sort that out too. Simply put, from now on when we release anything that isnt a route, you should have all the dependancies you need included. I am the admin over there on SI3D and am currently re-vamping alot of the content to work out of the box as a more competant modeller now I can offer more custom dependancies which I am able to distribute and have gained the relevant freeware distribution permissions/licenses from the authors of any 3rd party content we use. For what it's worth to the perusers of this thread.
